Quantification of nucleic acids
This 'method of choice' for the quantification of DNA, RNA, and protein needs only small volumes (1ul) and no requirement for cuvettes or consumables
The NanoDrop ND-1000 is now established as the method of choice for the quantification of DNA, RNA, and protein in most labs thanks to its small volume requirements (1ul) and no requirement for cuvettes or consumables, says Labtech International.
As part of its continuing development, the NanoDrop ND-1000 software version 3.1.0 is now available to download free of charge from its website.
Thanks to the invaluable feedback of thousands of users around the world, the company has increased the functionality and usability of the NanoDrop ND-1000 and has added the following new capabilities.
Proteins and labels module - expanded spectrum measurement and quantitation of fluorescent dye labelled proteins, conjugates and metalloproteins.
Dye Editor module - define your own fluorophore and quantify pmol/ul dye incorporation with only 1ul.
Protein Lowry module - analysis of protein concentration.
Definition of a specific path for archive files - save data directly to a network or backup drive.
Overlay spectral scans - compare spectra from multiple samples.
Save screen as jpg - for easy archiving and data sharing.
