Labtech International has launched a package comprising the LT-4000MS fully automatic Elisa absorbance microplate reader, Manta software and laptop package.

The LT-4000MS provides fully automated reading and analysis.

Its eight-channel optical system enables five-second reading for a 96-well plate.

A multi-assay feature enables up to 12 assays on one plate.

The LT-4000MS features a random positive and negative control setting and multiple on-board software calculation including cut-off mode, point-to-point, linear regression and so on.

A lamp saving feature decreases operational costs and its design is said to be low maintenance.

Four filters come as standard: 405nm, 450nm, 492nm and 630nm.

Manta software is included for data analysis and management.

Manta is a data acquisition, assay design and analysis software tool for microplate-based assays in diagnostic or research applications.

Its Quick-Start Wizard allows step-by-step creation of assay protocols (including data acquisition, microplate layout and data export).

The software enables complete control of all reader functions.

It offers a choice of endpoint or kinetic reads using either single or dual wavelengths, and delivers real-time display of readings.

A range of data export options is available, including export to Excel.

The laptop - a Toshiba Satellite Pro - features: 2GHz; RAM 1 GB; HDD 120GB; DVD+/-RW (+/-R DL)/DVD- RAM; GMA 4500M Dynamic Video Memory Technology 5.0; WLAN: 802.11b/g; Vista Business/XP Pro downgrade; pre-installed: Windows Vista; 15.4in widescreen TFT 1,280 x 800 (WXGA) Trubrite; Microsoft Office Ready.
