Spectrometer determines elements easily

A Leco Instruments UK product story
Edited by the Laboratorytalk editorial team Dec 12, 2001

Leco says its CCD-based glow discharge spectrometer is an ideal solution for routine elemental determination in most ferrous and nonferrous materials

The patented, solid-state, CCD-based GDS500A glow discharge optical emission spectrometer is a solution for routine elemental determination in most ferrous and nonferrous materials.

Windows-based software (designed for production use) includes QC tools and user-defined routines.

Other GDS500A advantages include stability, precision, and accuracy; full wavelength coverage from 165nm to 464nm; simple, linear calibrations; analysis of difficult materials such as as-cast iron, powdered metals, resulphurised/leaded steels, and low-melting alloys; controlled non-thermal excitation away from the sample surface reduces chemical and metallurgical effects; and on-board help manual and exclusive Leco Smartline service-modem support.
