ENT at Princess Alexandra benefits from
microscope
The Ear, Nose and Throat Department at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow has recently installed the latest Leica MS2 Surgical Microscope
Nicholas Flower, consultant ENT surgeon, explained: "The microscope is used by myself and my surgical team for all our ENT applications and we find it particularly useful for major ear surgery because of its flexibility and compactness." "Although we looked around at other systems, we decided on Leica primarily because the company has such a good reputation It is a bit like buying a Mercedes-Benz - you know you are going to get something that is good quality
The optics of the MS2 are the same good quality I have come to expect from Leica, only much easier to use and the electromagnetic brakes mean the handling is superb.
I have used Leica Microscopes in the past and so I knew this system would be a good choice.".
