The food science laboratory conference stream, chaired by Paul Berryman, research director for Leatherhead Food International, will facilitate discussion of these issues.
A former public analyst, Berryman has worked in the food testing industry for 27 years and will provide an insight into methods of testing, application examples and process optimisation at Lab.
The conference stream will give industry experts the chance to share knowledge on the importance of these issues, and present a wide variety of topics Berryman comments: "The food and beverage industry comprises a wide range of processes, including research and development, manufacturing and quality control.
"Scientific testing and analysis is an essential part of each of these stages, from determining ingredients to verifying food authenticity and complying with strict regulations.
