The EP542A ultrasonic detector can detect turbulent flow leakages by two methods by a visual LED bar scale and by using hearing protectors.

The EP542A ultrasonic detector fitted with its small directional probe can detect leakages comfortably up to 3m away.
This varies with each facility and in some instances up to 6m.
The EP542A ultrasonic detector also has the other facility to detect mechanical malfunctions in bearings, gears, mechanical movable parts, etc A machine or another propellant loses its effectiveness if or when mechanical malfunctions occur.
Often this means reduced production or at the worst an unintended and expensive production stop/failure.
It is therefore imperative to be able to quickly locate the mechanical malfunction or in some cases to make a systematic monitoring of essential machine parts (bearings, gears, etc) beforehand to always be able to make a controlled production stop with all the economical advantages this entails.
