Optional vacuum system offers pulsed pre- and post vacuum capabilities with drying stage, ensuring more efficient air removal from the chamber and load at the beginning of the cycle

Autoclave manufacturer LTE Scientific now offers an optional built-in vacuum system on its floor standing Osprey and Falcon ranges Accurate and reliable, this highly efficient vacuum system offers the user many more advantages including maximum convenience, reduced cycle times, and an increase in the number of suitable applications

Pre-programmed via the new Steri-Master microprocessor control panel, the dedicated vacuum system offers pulsed pre- and post vacuum capabilities with drying stage.

This ensures more efficient air removal from the chamber and load at the beginning of the cycle, allowing the set sterilising temperature to be reached as quickly and efficiently as possible.

To improve drying, all water is evacuated from the chamber prior to post vacuum, whilst the post vacuum and drying cycle assists with the removal of residual water, particularly from the load.

Unlike many other systems on the market, which depend on less reliable diaphragm pumps and injectors (which are also unable to pull down to the same vacuum levels), the more efficient LTE version utilises a high performance liquid ring pump (80mbarA) which is fitted with a condensate unit on the suction side.

This protects the pump, ensures operating efficiency, and prevents live steam from being exhausted during the vacuum stages.

Falcon autoclaves cater for all laboratories and have chamber capacities of 30, 150, 200 and 315 litres.

Rectangular in shape, the stainless steel work chambers make optimum use of the space available, accommodating greater loads than cylindrical models of similar nominal capacity.

The vacuum is available on all models except the Falcon 30.

The Osprey range includes horizontal or vertical loading models with capacities between 24 and 380 litres, carefully selected to maximise the load capacity.

Cycle times for solid loads are considerably reduced by the incorporation of a powerful fan which ensures rapid cooling.

The vacuum is available on all models except the Osprey 24 and 40.
