These units allow a wide range of strain gauge devices for the measurement of force, displacement, load, or pressure to be connected, and provide analogue outputs

The LCA15 range of intelligent strain gauge amplifiers is now available from Magna Projects These units allow a wide range of strain gauge devices for the measurement of force, displacement, load, pressure, etc, to be connected, and provide isolated high accuracy, low drift 0-10V DC and 4-20mA analogue outputs

The output is refreshed ten times a second, and the resolution is 15 bits (1 part in 32, 768, or 0.003%).

The LCA15 may be programmed through either on-board switches or via an option hand-held remote programmer.

Easy calibration and configuration of the output signals make the unit very user friendly, and ideal for OEM use or for one-off projects.

Auto tare and peak hold features are available, with optional relay output contacts with hysteresis and in-flight compensation for control or alarm purposes, optional current loop or RS232 communications, and optional printer output.

The standard LCA15 is mains powered (110/120V or 220/240V), with a 9-32V DC-powered version available.

The unit is supplied as standard in an ABS case sealed to IP65, but is available is a sealed metal case or on a Eurocard.

The LCA15 is complementary to other instruments offered by Magna, including the SGA analogue strain gauge amplifier, DSC and D-Cell intelligent strain transducers, ADP15 process monitoring and control instruments, JBA active junction box, Series 2000 environmentally-friendly melt pressure transducers, and laboratory instruments.

Most are available through Magna's on-line store.
