Total Show preview: Malvern Instruments
Particle characterisation and rheology systems will be on display at Total Processing and Packaging 2004 at the NEC, 29 March to 1 April
At Total Processing and Packaging 2004 (29 March - 1 April 2004, NEC Birmingham, UK), Malvern Instruments will exhibit on-line and laboratory systems for particle characterisation together with rheology products from the recently acquired Bohlin range.
On display will be the Insitec Voyager mobile on-line particle size analyser - the latest addition to the Malvern Process Systems range.
This can be attached to fixed sampling ports at a variety of points in a production line or can be used to sample from different production lines within the same manufacturing plant.
Voyager is suitable for use even in highly regulated environments, such as the pharmaceutical industry.
It meets current Gamp requirements with a simple-to-clean measurement cell and flow path.
The system features triclamping and the use of 316 stainless steel parts for easy cleaning.
Software enables full compliance with FDA's 21 CFR Part 11 requirements.
Also on show will be Malvern's established Mastersizer 2000 laser-diffraction-based particle size analyser, designed primarily for use in the laboratory.
With widespread application throughout industry, the system is well suited to pharmaceutical industry requirements.
Malvern Instruments supports the validation process through the company's QSpec Elements validation package.
This provides users with a comprehensive set of tools to enable the development of individual system validation plans, including IO/OQ documentation and the ability to exercise a right-to-view the system's full life cycle documentation.
Malvern is on stand 1D05 at Total Processing and Packaging 2004.
