For noise and vibration measurement, analysis, and reporting, this latest release of software provides a number of powerful enhancements to improve productivity

SmartOffice is M+P International's advanced solution for noise and vibration measurement, analysis and reporting It is scalable and offers modules for FFT, modal, rotate and octave analyses

For user flexibility, the decision regarding acquisition hardware was kept open to allow interfaces with National Instruments, VXI Technology, Bustec and Teac.

Within one application, SmartOffice allows users to import data from more than 20 different standard N and V formats, do real-time data acquisition, analyse results and create reports, in the field, in the lab and in the office.

The latest SmartOffice revision 2.4 provides a number of powerful enhancements to improve productivity even further.

Some examples are: time domain data can be replayed, thus allowing the user to see a time replay of measured data on a structure.

To speed post processing of large data sets the calculator now supports block mode operations on time data which results in automated post-processing functionality across a number of channels for many common FFT-based functions like PSD and FRF calculations.

To simplify measurement set-up the transducer calibration values can be directly stored to and loaded from an Excel spreadsheet database; each transducer has an unique serial number that serves as a key in the table and hence into changing company cal-lab information.

For more flexible data acquisition configurations SmartOffice now supports National Instruments 67xx boards allowing sine, random, triangle, square and DC signal generation synchronously with the input measurement.

Also now supported are National Instruments 66xx and 67xx and Bustec hardware to read RPM data either from the analogue input channel or from tacho pulse signals for high speed rotating machinery applications.

Together with new portable packages for up to 24 input channels that can be powered from 12-30VDC SmartOffice boasts a common user interface across the entire spectrum of field to lab noise and vibration applications.

The new 2D Viewer offers many additional calculations, extra cursor values (RMS, Q, Diff), SeektoMax, RMS between cursor function and more.

This functionality is also available from within documents supporting ActiveX (eg MS Word) by using M+P's free viewer download.
