Mayachitra updates Imago bioimage software

Mayachitra has released Mayachitra Imago 1.0 Beta 3, the latest version of its bioimage management and analysis software, for free.

Mayachitra Imago is an advanced image database and analysis system designed for managing microscopic images.

The main focus of Imago is to develop simple and powerful solutions for microscopic images, such as an extended Iphoto or Picassa for bioimages.

Imago has many special features to help scientists manage, organise, and analyse a large collection of images.

Imago's unified search feature enables users to search images in one place by image name, annotation, user's own tags, image content, or any combination of the above.

Besides image archival and retrieval, Imago also provides integrated image-analysis tools, such as automatic image registration and automatic cell counting.
