Airborne nanoparticle measurement and collection

A Meritics product story
Edited by the Laboratorytalk editorial team Feb 5, 2008

The new HCT range of instruments available in the UK from Meritics include air samplers, impactors and nano particle collectors as well as electrical particle sizers and condensation particle counters

Much interest has been generated in the production and use of nanoparticles in a wide range of applications, and now interest is growing on the environmental and health and safety impact of nanoparticles in the atmosphere.

A water based CPC has the highest air flowrate currently available at 2.8l/min and measures particles down to a few nanometres.

Other applications include cleanroom monitoring, aerosol and atmospheric research, diesel emissions monitoring together with inhalation and toxicology studies.

With the recent introduction of the Beckman Coulter DelsaNano range for zeta potential and particle sizing in concentrated suspensions down to less than one nanometre, Meritics have established a solid and significant base of 'nanoparticle' characterisation products.
