Non circular pellet dies for special
applications
In addition to its wide range of economical circular pellet dies for infrared and XRF spectroscopy, Medway Optics has added a new range of pellet dies for special sampling applications
This new range of non circular dies, typically four or five sided, are increasing being used for unique applications in the metallurgy, polymer, electronic and pharmaceutical industries All Medway Optics dies are made from vacuum hardened SS316 stainless steel for durability and high quality pellet production
Additionally, tungsten carbide dies that enable hard geological minerals and other corrosive sample materials that would normally make an indent, scratch or attack stainless steel surfaces to be conveniently pelleted for infrared spectroscopic and X-ray fluorescence/diffraction analyses.
The dies are available in a variety of sizes from 3mm to 40mm diameters/side lengths complete with matching highly polished pellets, plungers, sealing rings and extractor rings.
They are all evacuable.
