Aquatrode Plus for highest level water
analysis
The pH electrode of choice for a range of applications covering not only drinking water analysis but also field measurements, research and training at universities as well as online pH measurements
The Aquatrode Plus guarantees the highest precision in pH measurement and pH titration, says Metrohm The Aquatrode Plus is a combined pH glass electrode that has been specially designed for pH measurements and pH titrations (eg, the determination of the carbonate alkalinity) in ion-deficient, poorly conducting samples such as natural surface waters or deionised water

Ethanol pH measurement using the Aquatrode Plus
Metrohm says its Aquatrode Plus are the most suitable electrodes for ethanol pH measurements according to ASTM D 6423
It is the pH electrode of choice for a wide range of applications covering not only drinking water analysis but also field measurements, research and training at universities as well as online pH measurements.
Acid and base capacity in water.
The acid capacity of a water sample (KA) is the molar amount of oxonium ions that the water sample can accept before reaching predefined pH values.
It is given in mmol/l.
For the acid capacity to pH8.2 (KA8.2 , previously P value) HCl solution is used to titrate 100ml sample to pH=8.2; for the acid capacity to pH4.3 (KA4.3 , previously M value) the titration is stopped at pH=4.3.
This application and many more can be found in the Metrohm monograph 'Practical Titration', which can be ordered. Request a free brochure from Metrohm UK ...
