Process colorimeter for chemical oxygen
demand
After the launch of the new ADI 2019 D process colorimeter from Applikon Analytical comes the first 'off the shelf' version for chemical oxygen demand (COD)
The unique digester/cuvette module allows the analyser to carry out the thermal digestion for the prescribed period without contact with the colorimetric measuring cell Upon completion of the digestion period the initial colour of the digested sample is measured to prevent background sample colour interfering with the accuracy of the analysis

Based on the existing ADI 2019 Process Colorimeter the ADI 2019 D extends the range of analytes capable to those requiring thermal digestion
After the addition of dichromate solution a second colour measurement is made to provide the true chemical oxygen demand value.
Two models of the ADI 2019 D for chemical oxygen demand are available.
The lower range model provides analysis in the range 0-5000mg/l and the higher range extends the analysis from 0-20,000mg/l.
Both models feature automatic cleaning, automatic validation of out of range results and automatic calibration as standard.
