Inline eluent preparation enhances intelligent ICs

Metrohm has introduced inline eluent preparation for the 850 Professional, 881 Compact Pro and 882 Compact Plus intelligent ICs.

It has low running costs, as it requires only buffer salt and ultra-pure water.

It can be added at any point for the price of a Dosino, level controller and a few additional accessories.

The Dosino is an accurate dosing device, and can be used for anion and cation chemistries (with and without suppression).

Metrohm inline eluent preparation is controlled by the intuitive MagIC Net control software.

In tests, retention time stability for a ppb standard over 800 consecutive injections showed a relative standard deviation below 0.55 per cent for anions and 0.41 per cent for cations, demonstrating high reproducibility.

For high-throughput systems and fixed methods, inline eluent preparation offers increased retention time precision and continuous determination of anions and cations, without the need for manual eluent preparation.

The decision as to whether to produce the anion manually from the buffer salt or automate with Metrohm inline eluent preparation can now be based on analytical need rather than worry about ownership costs.
