Metrohm has released its Water Analysis brochure, providing information on instruments and applications.
According to the company, of the numerous hazardous substances found in water, about 200 guideline values have been listed by the World Health Organization (WHO).
The Water Analysis brochure, which is accessible via Metrohm's new homepage, can be ordered free of charge and is a condensed summary of the company's know-how in assuring the quality of water in its various forms and uses.
These include: drinking water; sea water; water for pharmaceutical use; ultrapure water; cooling water and boiler feed water; process water; and wastewater.
Using national and international standards (DIN, EPA, ISO and ASTM) as a matrix, the brochure suggests the methods and instrumentation best suited to check the respective parameters.
Methods include pH and conductivity measurement, titration, ion chromatography, voltammetry and atline and online process analysis.
The Water Analysis brochure is suitable for anyone involved in the professional quality assurance of water.
