Seoul Metropolitan Railway Transit required a system for testing a variety of springs used in their electric railway cars.

Seoul Metropolitan Railway Transit required a system for testing a variety of springs used in their electric railway cars.

The springs range in size from 3mm to 100mm in diameter.

To meet the specification Mecmesin's distributor A and D Korea supplied a test system consisting of a MultiTest 10-i twin column test frame driven by Emperor software, two intelligent loadcells and a selection of compression plates suitable for testing a wide variety of springs.

This system is used to apply a compressive force to the springs with a pass or fail criteria of equal to or greater than 300N.

The customer chose the Mecmesin MultiTest 10-i test system because the software is easy-to-use and price competitive.

"We purchased the MultiTest 10-i to test 80% of the springs, which we have in our railway cars".

"The system is very easy-to-use and the program is convenient to test".

"Also the support of A and D Korea was very positive", said.

SC Yoon of Seoul Metropolitan Railway Transit.
