Extended range of medical device testing services

A MET product story
Edited by the Laboratorytalk editorial team Nov 28, 2005

Medical device testing services encompass physical testing for strength and function as well as leak and flow testing, all undertaken in its fully calibrated, ISO 9000-2000 compliant laboratory

In addition to accelerated ageing studies for medical packages, Medical Engineering Technologies (MET) now also provides burst testing (ASTM 1140-00), dye penetration (ASTM F1929) and visual inspection of seals (ASTM F1886-98).

Its medical device testing services encompass physical testing for strength and function as well as leak and flow testing, all undertaken in its fully calibrated, ISO 9000-2000 compliant laboratory.

MET has recently upgraded its leak testing equipment to incorporate Schreiner's leak test computer technology.

This system permits data gathering at a user-defined sampling rate, allows tracking of package bursts with great accuracy, and provides detailed information on product leak rates.
