MeasureNet popular in small academic
laboratories
Size doesn't always matter when considering an investment in networked electronic data acquisition with MeasureNet, says the company
While institutions like Virginia Tech, University of Georgia, and Oregon State University in the USA employ MeasureNet to serve 1500 to 2200 lab students per semester, the system has become the mainstay of a number of undergraduate chemistry laboratories with much smaller student populations New MeasureNet users at Bowling Green State University-Firelands and Lourdes College in Toledo (both USA) serve fewer than 300 students per semester

MeasureNet work stations don't require batteries, regular maintenance, or individual software upgrades.
Stations mount above lab benches and need no storage between periods.
MeasureNet's PC-reducing design and optional web-based data storage utilise existing PCs outside the lab for post-acquisition analysis so lab budgets don't bear the cost of regular PC replacement.
A shared diode-array UV-vis spectrometer also removes the task of purchasing and maintaining multiple stand-alone spectrometers.
Operationally, the system can save a typical 24-student laboratory between US$40,000-$70,000 over a ten year period in PC maintenance, PC replacement, and overall electricity costs versus PC-based interfaces.
MeasureNet Technology manufactures patented, network-based data acquisition interfaces for science teaching laboratories.
It is a spin-off of the University of Cincinnati's department of chemistry and is headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio.
MeasureNet's award-winning, PC-reducing design helps reduce laboratory maintenance and operational costs while giving students access to high quality shared UV-vis spectroscopy, gas chromatograph connectivity, and an array of innovative probeware.
It's acclaimed intuitive design provides improved transparency to enable better science-focused, not technology-focused, learning.
Winner of the Ohio Governor's Award For Excellence in Energy Efficiency, MeasureNet networks are found in universities, community colleges, high schools, and vocational training centers across the United States and around the world.
