Cost effective fluorescence microscopy

Fluorescence, which began as a research microscopy technique, is now in increasing demand even for routine cell observation including GFP or other new fluorochromes Olympus has therefore developed a cost-effective add-on fluorescence unit for the new CKX41 inverted microscope that delivers images of outstanding brightness and clarity

The CKX41 is a carefully priced system for routine cell observation.

Fluorescence capability is provided with a modular unit combining 50W mercury illumination and a filter slider.

The three position slider combines blue and green excitation filters together with a brightfield position.

Fluorescence excitation and emission filters, as well as dichroic mirrors out of the fluorescence cube range of BX2 and IX2 microscopes can be used to fine tune for a special fluorochrome.

A filter combination for UV excitation (Dapi etc) is also available.

The CKX41 also has an option for a trinocular tube for camera attachment.

Documentation of images can be carried out by incorporating the CKX41 into various Olympus systems for photographic capture, video monitoring or digital imaging.
