Stereo in comfort
Latest stereo microscopes promise comfort for your eyes and precision for your work with natural colour and flat, distortion free image
A compact new design and improved optics characterise the latest additions to the Olympus range of stereo microscopes The SZ51 and SZ61 also feature a unique thin LED light source - which gives balanced transmitted and reflected light illumination while allowing better access to the specimen area

Designed for routine stereo applications, the SZ51 and SZ61 have the best zoom ratios in their class - a 5:1 zoom ratio from 8x to 40x, and extended 6.7:1 zoom ratio from 6.7x to 45x, respectively (using 10x eyepiece).
The precision optics deliver an exceptionally natural colour together with flat, distortion free images right to the edge of the field of view.
Sharp high contrast images help you spot the slightest irregularity.
Stray light and flare have been eliminated from lens surface and edges to give brighter images.
User comfort features include a choice of 45deg and 60deg eyepiece angles for viewing seated or standing, a front zoom handle and zoom stopper.
The new ComfortView eyepieces with pupil abberation control reduce flicker, to allow long periods of fatigue free observation.
A more compact design is made possible by the 10deg of the image forming path in the Greenough optical system inversion angle.
Space saving fibre illumination is available mounted on the standard frame.
The robust design includes fixed eyepieces for hard working applications.
The SZ61-TR includes a trinocular head so that a camera can be attached via C-mount to capture images of the sample.
Wide illumination choices include a thin LED transmitted lighting plate, stand-mountable light guides, special power saving and long life light sources, and coaxial reflected sources. Request a free brochure from Olympus Life Science Europa ...
