Standard for analytical grade water
By employing a combination of complementary technologies such as reverse osmosis and electrodeionisation, the water produced exceeds the standard requirements for type II water
Millipore says its Elix water purification systems have become, in less than five years, the laboratory standard for the production of pure water from potable water By employing a combination of complementary technologies such as reverse osmosis (RO) and electrodeionisation (Elix), the water produced exceeds the standard requirements for type II water (resistivity>5M.cm, TOC levels<30ppb)

Top lab in India relies on Elix water system
As part of the effort to set the highest benchmarks in quality and expertise, Dr Phadke's lab employs Millipore's Elix water systems in conjunction with Randox analysers
The success of the Elix system is mainly due to several technical features that result in major benefits for the user.
Water consumption is optimised (reduced by more than 50%) by recycling part of the reject water.
Pure water is available at all times as a temperature-controlled booster pump allows a constant product flow rate.
The ion exchange resins in the system self-regenerate by applying an electric current ensuring there is no need for costly replacement or additional chemicals.
Moreover the system uses less than 0.2% of the energy of conventional distillation equipment.
These properties afford a cost-effective, reliable and reproducible means for the production of type II water.
In order to meet all specification requirements new features are now available.
For bacteria-sensitive applications an optional in line ultra-violet (UV) module is available for pure water with a bacterial count <1cfu/ml.
Complete traceability of data is also possible with the built-in real time clock and the optional Explore Data software that allows easy downloading, to a computer, of historical information stored in the system memory giving total control over the final water quality.
