Water purification system fits under the bench

Underbench water purification systems allow a complete water purification chain to be conveniently located under the laboratory bench

Space is often limited in laboratories so it is important to optimise the use of the available bench-top area as much as possible.

To assist with these issues Millipore has developed underbench water purification systems, to allow a complete water purification chain (Elix pretreatment system, storage reservoir and Milli-Q ultrapure water system) to be conveniently located under the laboratory bench.

The design has been configured for maximum flexibility, with the main purification units and reservoir situated under the bench and remote displays on the bench top to provide the operating and monitoring functions for each system.

These displays also supply information on water quality parameters such as resistivity and TOC, which comes from the Elix and Milli-Q systems' built-in monitors.

For Milli-Q systems, which produce ultrapure water on demand, there is a remote point-of-use dispenser, available to deliver the product water up to 3 metres from the main system.

This POU dispenser is fully adjustable and incorporates a green LED indicator to show that the product quality is within specifications during delivery.

The Elix and Milli-Q underbench systems are designed to offer a user-friendly solution to optimise laboratory space requirements whilst providing assurance of water quality.
