Millipore has announced the availability of its ProSep affinity chromatography media as well as its Vantage L chromatography columns for use in laboratory research applications
Previously known for use in large-scale production applications, these products are equally valuable in smaller scale applications Millipore also offers easy-to-use Montage antibody purification kits, which include ready-to-use Montage spin columns pre-packed with either ProSep-A or ProSep-G media plugs for antibody purification processing by centrifugation

Millipore's ProSep range of media is designed primarily for affinity purification of antibodies and other proteins and nucleic acids.
ProSep media use porous glass as the support, permeated by interconnecting pores of uniform and precisely controlled size.
ProSep chromatography media exhibit chemical and mechanical stability over a range of conditions such as low pH, exposure to detergents, buffers of varying ionic strengths and many organic solvents, and permit high flow rates with low back pressure.
ProSep-vA Ultra media are designed to facilitate highly efficient, cost effective purification of antibodies.
ProSep-G is recommended for the purification of antibodies that do not bind efficiently to protein A, such as rat IgGs and human IgG3.
ProSep-PB media is designed for the affinity chromatography of a variety of glycoproteins, nucleic acids, and other biomolecules containing 1,2 diol functionality.
ProSep-vA Ultra media, ProSep-PB media, and ProSep-G media are available in 10ml, 50ml and 100ml sizes.
Millipore's selection of laboratory column configurations is the most complete in the market, with five diameters from 11mm to 44mm available, as well as three lengths (250, 500, and 1000mm).
Vantage L columns are easily connected to FPLC/LPC systems and are resistant to commonly used solvents.
These columns incorporate twin adjusters that allow different bed lengths to be used, with an adjuster clip mechanism that provides simple, quick and positive locking of the adjuster tube to enable coarse and fine adjustment.
