Guaranteeing an accurate aseptic liquid
sample
Latest development in sterile disposable sampling systems provides the accuracy of the syringe method, coupled with inherent aseptic techniques, to extract samples as small as 1ml
NovAseptic has launched what it says is another unique product to its NovaSeptum range of sterile disposable sampling systems - the NovaSeptum AV (accurate volume) The NovaSeptum sampling system has rapidly become the preferred method for pharmaceutical companies taking routine controlled samples of high purity liquids, it says

The elimination of false positives, coupled with the fact that steaming between procedures is no longer required, has meant huge increases in the number companies enjoying the advantages of NovaSeptum product line.
Small, accurate volume sampling has become a growing requirement for many new analytical methods (eg RRM).
These low volume analytical tests have reduced the amount of liquid product required for the test (low product wastage = savings).
Until now, the only method of retrieving small liquid volumes accurately has been by incorporating a needle and syringe introduced directly into the process media via a septum membrane.
Obviously this method carries many risks in terms of false positives and operator safety, and is also very difficult to validate.
With the introduction of the NovaSeptum AV, NovAseptic says it can now provide the accuracy of the syringe method, coupled with the other inherent aseptic techniques of the established NovAseptum.
Throughout the entire process of sampling with the NovaSeptum AV, a totally closed sample is maintained, allowing for the sample to remain totally representative until the moment it is discharged at point of analysis. Request a free brochure from Millipore ...
