Millipore launches Neurite Outgrowth
Assay

Millipore has announced the availability of its Neurite Outgrowth Assay which is now the newest assay kit in Millipore's extensive drug discovery product line.

Using high content screening for imaging and analysis of neurite outgrowth and neuronal cell morphology, the kit offers a complete solution for specificity labelling and neuronal cell bodies for High Content Imaging The kit utilises high quality, validated, target specific detection reagents for profiling in a variety of species, including human, mouse and rat

Large scale screening is simplified through the assay reagents 24-hour stability at room temperature.

Its primary antibody is immunofluorescence based to specifically label neurites and neuronal cell bodies in heterogeneous cell populations.

High sensitivity generating images with high signal-to-background ratios facilitate subsequent High Content Analysis, making the kit ideal for screening both inducers and inhibitors of neurite outgrowth neurotoxins.

Millipore's Bioscience Division provides innovative tools, services and biological reagents that drive advancements in biomedical and academic research as well as support the discovery and development of new pharmaceuticals.

The product portfolio has been further enhanced with the 2006 addition of Chemicon, Upstate and Linco product lines, enabling Millipore to offer a complete range of life science tools.

Millipore's customers work in leading research laboratories across a variety of industries throughout the world and the company develops solutions that improve laboratory productivity and efficiency through optimised workflows. Request a free brochure from Millipore ...
