Can it handle a wide range of temperatures, including fluctuations in those temperatures? Is it non-toxic? Manufactured in a controlled environment or clean room? Is it sterilizable? Reusable? Flexible? How does it handle electrically-associated applications? NewAge Industries's medical-grade silicone tubing (called Silcon Medical) and hose (Silbrade Medical) offer non-toxic ingredients.
The silicone elastomer meets USP Class VI and NSF-51 requirements, as well as FDA standards for use with food contact surfaces.
Both products are manufactured in a controlled environment and are extremely flexible, translucent for visual contact with the flow, odorless, tasteless, and nonreactive to body tissues and fluids.
Silcon Medical withstands temperatures from -73C through 204C, while Silbrade Medical handles -62C to 176C.
Both items are sterilizable, reusable, and exhibit inertness to U.V., radiation, and ozone.
Silcon Medical and Silbrade Medical are peroxide-cured products.
Silcon Medical is stocked in 22 sizes ranging from .012inch to 3/4inch ID; Silbrade Medical is offered in eight sizes from 1/8inch to 1inch ID.
