Enhanced fluorescence imaging with new series of inverted microscopes, designed to take advantage of the latest fluorescence techniques for live cell imaging
The use of infinity optics in the Eclipse TE2000 means that optional attachments such as a laser light source for laser micro-dissection, Frap, laser traps, or confocal imaging can be added without having to modify the microscope and without affecting the performance of standard epifluorescence techniques A linear encoded focus is also available that enables precise steps in the Z-axis direction - ideal for 3D microscopy of fluorescence images

Indispensable to bioscience researchers, the Eclipse TE2000 microscopes feature Nikon's new Noise Terminator technology.
This redirects any stray light out of the fluorescence optical path - a problem that could reduce contrast and introduce photon 'noise' - and terminates it to produce images of high contrast and greater signal to noise ratio.
This is especially useful when observing weakly fluorescing specimens, in live cell imaging techniques such as Tirf.
The Epi-Fl illuminator is ergonomically positioned, making is easily accessible for adjustments from the operator's sitting position.
The right-angled design of the Epi-Fl illuminator, in addition, provides higher excitation throughput and offers the possibility of connecting a second illuminator for applications that need a dual light source.
An optional zoom lens for fluorescence illumination makes it possible to zoom the illumination to a smaller spot so resulting in higher intensity.
The fluorescence system features a new turret filter block system that holds up to six filter cubes with a click mounting principle for positive positioning and rapid changeover.
Manual or motorised filter changing is possible as well as the option for an automated vibration free shutter.
Enhanced stability and ultra rigid design make the Eclipse TE2000 series of microscopes highly resistant to thermal fluctuations and vibrations, so providing stability and accuracy for imaging.
