Nikon hands bioscience role to graduate

Nikon UK Instruments Division has appointed recent graduate Deborah Cutchey to the role of bioscience application and product specialist.

She will support the bioscience team, in particular the advanced research section.

Deborah gained a first in biomedical science at London Metropolitan University and also received the president's prize from the Institute of Biomedical Science and the university prize for academic excellence.

Cutchey said: 'My main area of interest is human cell biology and I am looking forward to working with scientists helping to develop solutions to the challenges of imaging live cells in such exciting areas as plant and animal cell research, developmental biology, neuroscience, cancer and stem cell research.
