Cartridges in a variety of stationary
phases
Greater analyte selectivity results from the increased range of stationary phases, enabling multiple simultaneous chromatographic separations
Nanostream, a provider of high-throughput microfluidic analytical systems to companies involved in drug discovery and development, has announced the availability of new Brio cartridges in a range of stationary phases for greater analyte selectivity Nanostream offers the Brio cartridges, which are inserted into the Veloce micro parallel liquid chromatography (microPLC) system to enable multiple simultaneous chromatographic separations, to address a broad class of analytical applications

The Brio 4207 cartridge series, Nanostream's standard 8cm column cartridge series, is available in a variety of column media including modified C18 for hydrophilic or polar compounds, phenyl and reversed phase C18.
Nanostream's customers can now select the silica-based column media to meet the requirements of specific applications for the Veloce system.
Brio cartridges with modified C18 packing material are ideal for separating hydrophilic and polar compounds, and cartridges with phenyl columns for separating non-polar compounds.

Each of Nanostream's Brio cartridge series continues to be available in reversed phase C18, which provides high-quality results for small molecule analysis in a high-throughput format.
"Our customers have varying sample needs, so it is important for us to provide multiple cartridge designs in a range of stationary phases.
"Users can select Brio cartridges based on the cartridge design and column media to match their application and sample requirements," said Gene Dantsker, vice president of technology, Nanostream.
Last month, Nanostream unveiled its 4208 cartridge series, which was designed for increased precision for quantitative applications.
The 4208 cartridge series joined Nanostream's suite of cartridge offerings listed below:.
Brio 4207 cartridge series: suitable for a wide range of analytes and applications, available in reversed phase C18, modified C18 for hydrophilic and polar compounds and phenyl.
Brio 4208 cartridge series: increased precision for quantitative applications, ideal for solubility assessment, dissolution testing and formulation studies, available in reversed phase C18.
Brio 4402 cartridge series: shorter columns for faster separations, ideal for secondary screening and high-throughput LC-based assays, available in reversed phase C18.
Nanostream says that, throughout 2005, it will incorporate additional stationary phases in all of its Brio cartridge series for greater flexibility.
