Bacteriological colony counter built around precision moulding, chosen for cost and performance considerations

The Acolyte from Synbiosis assists the bacteriological colony count in laboratory samples, for example in the quest to ensure food safety throughout the industry In replacing the manual count, Click'n'Count or the fully automatic SuperCount removes tedium from the operation, thus reducing the risk of error

Synbiosis choose rigid polyurethane for the enclosure over other traditional plastics as the uncertainty of any new market suggested heavy tooling investments imprudent.

In the early stages, the inexpensive moulds used in the polyurethane process enabled changes, either necessary for functional performance or merely desirable for profile, to be easily realised.

The designed contours mask a complex shape, determined partly by ergonomic considerations.

A smooth recess for the switch, a precision cut-out for the removable specimen plate, and a shallow indentation for the logo are all accommodated.

Rigid polyurethane will accept a smooth paint finish or the textured random dapple effect.
