Distributor appointed for multi-platform sequence analysis software package and laboratory information management system
United Bioinformatica (UBI), a distributor of bioinformatics software in Canada, and Ocimum Biosolutions have announced that they have completed a distribution agreement for Gencheck and Biotracker Genchek is a comprehensive multi-platform sequence analysis software package that facilitates analysis of expressed sequence tags (ESTs), complete genome, and SNP (single nucleotide polymorphism) data

Biotracker is a laboratory information management system (Lims) for improving laboratory performance.
"Genchek is the only commercial desktop sequence analysis software with a modern database (MySQL), written in the industry standard Java language, that is priced right for the academic market," said Lindsay Moir, president of UBI.
