Fast 500 Asia Pacific programme recognises public and private companies across the Asia Pacific regions that have achieved the fastest rates of annual revenue growth during the past three years
Ocimum Biosolutions, a Hyderabad based life sciences R and D enabling company with competencies in bio-IT, microarrays and contract research services, has been ranked 55th among the 500 fastest growing technology companies of repute across the Asia-Pacific region by the world-renowned Deloitte Technology Fast 500 Asia-Pacific 2005 programme.
The full list of Asia Pacific's 500 fastest-growing technology companies was announced during the Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Technology Fast 500 Asia Pacific 2005 ceremony held recently at the Grand Hyatt, Hong Kong.
The Deloitte Technology Fast 500 Asia Pacific programme recognises public and private companies across the Asia Pacific regions that have achieved the fastest rates of annual revenue growth during the past three years.
The awards are researched and sponsored by the Deloitte Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) industry group.
Ocimum Biosolutions also has the distinction of scoring fourth rank in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 India 2005 Award, again a programme based on a three year average percentage revenue growth which ranks the 50 fastest growing technology companies by geographic region.
This Fast 50 programme supplements the broader Deloitte Technology Fast 500 initiative in that the winners typically become automatically eligible to participate in the Fast 500.

The Deloitte Technology Fast 500 Asia Pacific programme is described as the region's most objective industry-ranking standard to focus on the technology field.
It was created in 2001 to recognize the effort and dedication of the 500 fastest-growing technology companies in Asia Pacific and includes all areas of technology, from internet to biotechnology, from medical and scientific to computers/hardware.
It includes both public and private companies based in Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand.
The awards, which have been running in Asia Pacific for four years, are based on three-year average percentage revenue growth.
