Hand-held device which allows doctors to diagnose and monitor medical conditions more quickly and conveniently gains recognition

The prestigious Oxford Innovation Award has been won this year by Oxford Biosensors for its innovative point-of-care medical diagnostic system Using groundbreaking electrochemical research carried out at Oxford University, the three-year old company developed the hand-held device which allows doctors to diagnose and monitor medical conditions more quickly and conveniently

Multiple measurements are taken simultaneously and with accurate results obtained on the spot, waiting times for central laboratory results and the need for repeat patient visits are eliminated.
