In addition to modern offices and R and D laboratories, the site includes a newly equipped manufacturing facility with the capacity to produce over 15 million test strips per year.
The test strips, incorporating micron sized electrodes and dry reagents, are used in conjunction with the Oxford Biosensors' hand-held Multisense analyser, which is capable of detecting multiple analytes in seconds.
Multisense delivers rapid, accurate results and provides a convenient, cost effective diagnostic tool for use in point-of-care and patient self-test situations.
The first multi-parameter test - Cardiac Risk - tests for total cholesterol, HDL, LDL and triglycerides.
