Sample management for the busy
diagnostic lab
System has a high-throughput capacity with input for up to 300 sample tubes and continuous sample reloading capabilities even when fully operational
Olympus has launched the new automation family member, the OLA2500S, a compact version of the OLA2500 front-end laboratory system introduced at Focus 2003 Designed to organise and automate the front and back-end of laboratory workflow, the OLA2500S has all the features of the larger system, minus the aliquoting module of its bigger brother

The OLA2500S has a high-throughput capacity with input for up to 300 sample tubes and continuous sample reloading capabilities even when fully operational.
To streamline every laboratory workflow, the system also offers selective sample tube decapping, not only for screw and rubber caps but also for tubes with aluminium seals.
The OLA2500S uses host query mode with a laboratory information system (Lis) to maximise workflow efficiency.
This allows individual priorities and specific service needs to be met.
With the flexibility to specify all necessary information (workplace, number of aliquots etc) and with archive locations transmitted efficiently to the Lis, the system ensures the highest level of confidence in workflow management.
The OLA2500S is ideal for laboratories requiring additional power for pre-sorting and archiving or for those requiring a back-up system efficient in terms of both time and space.
The system is designed with maximum flexibility to enable the laboratory's existing practices to evolve in line with service demands.
Not only is the OLA2500S fully upgradeable, but multiple systems can be easily linked to provide additional sorting and aliquoting capabilities.
This provides an exceptional level of flexibility, which permits a system or family of systems to develop and grow with a laboratory's needs.
OLA systems organise and automate the front-end workflow removing the need for labour intensive and hazardous tasks to be performed by valuable staff resource.
