Haemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) reagents, calibrators and controls designed for use on Olympus AU400/400e, AU640/640e, AU2700 and AU5400 chemistry-immuno analysers are now available

The Olympus A1c assay is certified by the US National Glycohemoglobin Standardisation Programme (NGSP), using the new protocol guidelines recommended for worldwide harmonisation of A1c measurements Olympus A1c calibrator setpoints are referenced to International Federation of Clinical Chemistry (IFCC) reference standards

The Master Equation is employed for the conversion of patient results from IFCC to NGSP levels of %A1c in order to maintain values familiar to patients and clinicians, and which relate to the existing diabetes control and complications trial (DCCT) evidence-based outcome studies.

Olympus Diagnostic Systems says it provides innovative systems to meet the high productivity demands of hospitals, integrated healthcare delivery networks, reference labs, blood banks and pharmaceutical labs.

Olympus claims the broadest standardised line of random access chemistry-immuno analysers, along with lab automation systems, comprehensive patient safety systems, blood bank analysers and reagents.

Olympus solutions save laboratories time, enhance patient safety, maximise productivity, and deliver fast, reliable results.
