Fully automated microbial identification
system
Identify over 700 species of Gram-negative and Gram-positive aerobic bacteria using carbon source utilisation technology in 96-well microplate format
OmniLog, the new microbial identification system from Oxoid, gives QC and R&D laboratories the ability to identify over 700 species of Gram-negative and Gram-positive aerobic bacteria The system uses carbon source utilisation technology, incorporating 95 pre-selected carbon sources in a 96 well microplate format
Following the inoculation of the organism into the pre-selected carbon sources, the OmniLog automatically incubates, reads, and interprets the microplates.
The continuous sampling process allows users to load plates when ready and remove completed plates without disturbing the other samples that are still being processed.
Results are based on 95 reactions from six to eight different classes of carbon sources, and when combined with sophisticated Windows-based interpretation software, OmniLog is said to deliver unparalleled precision in as little four hours. Request a free brochure from Oxoid ...
