Manufactured without using any materials of animal origin whatsoever, Oxoid Veggietones also reduce concerns over the transmission of Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE) and other TSEs.

The growing range of Veggietone peptones available from Oxoid include, Veggietone Soya Peptone (manufactured from soya flour), Vegetable Peptone No 1 and Vegetable Peptone Broth (manufactured from pea flour).

All Veggietones are quality control tested to meet US, British, European and Japanese Pharmacopoeia performance standards, as well as those of the NCCLS.
