If your team hasn't yet entered for the Oxoid Infection Control Team of the Year Awards, there is still time to do so, but be quick as they close on 31 January 2007
These awards are worth £5000 to the winning team, £1000 and £500 to the second and third place teams, respectively The awards are easy to enter, and many teams have commented that the entry process has been a worthwhile exercise in itself as it encouraged them to reflect on their improvements and achievements, which was a real morale booster

Infection control awards open
The awards, which were launched in 2003, are designed to recognise and reward those who are making a real difference to improved standards of infection control within hospitas worldwide
And, of course, it would be even more motivational to be in a winning team.
Representatives from your team would be our guests of honour at a celebratory dinner where the awards are presented.
As well as receiving the prize money, your win would be widely publicised.
But if you don't enter you can't win - remember, this is your chance to be recognised for the work that you do and for the difference that you are making in your hospital.
So don't put it off any longer.
The Awards are supported by HIS (Hospital Infection Society), ICNA (Infection Control Nurses Association) and IFIC (the International Federation of Infection Control) and entries are welcomed from infection control teams, worldwide. Request a free brochure from Oxoid ...
