Applications for the new ParTemp filters range from aseptic packaging, fermentation system air delivery, moderate and high temperature tank venting, to hot WFI (water for injection) tank vents and critical use compressed gases.
The new ParTemp filters are fully validated for pharmaceutical production use and have been independently tested to confirm that they meet the latest standards for toxicity.
The validation guide, containing full details of these tests and performance characteristics of the cartridges, is available on request.
The ParTemp and ParTemp Max filters are manufactured in a Class 10,000 (M4) clean room and meet the latest cGMP manufacturing guidelines, ensuring the highest levels of quality, says the company.
In particular, the ParTemp filters incorporate a PTFE membrane, with up and downstream drainage, core, cage and end caps being manufactured from polypropylene.
In addition to the PTFE membrane, the ParTemp Max filters incorporate Nomex support layers, making it ideal for use in high temperature fermentation applications.
This rugged construction enables the ParTemp filters to be used in a maximum continuous temperature of up to 80C, and 105C for the ParTemp Max version.
Furthermore, the ParTemp filter is designed for continuous in-service use, typically for up to 50 cumulative hours of steam sterilisation at 140C (100 thirty minute cycles).
The ParTemp Max filter, however, has been specially designed for high cycle filtration, being capable of 150 cumulative hour of steam sterilisation (300 thirty minute cycles).
The new filters are available in 0.1 and 0.2 micron configurations and are 100% integrity tested prior to shipment. Request a free brochure from Parker Hannifin - Electromechanical Division ...
