photometer use

Four-in-one meter
Water analysis specialist Palintest has introduced an easy-to-use meter which can measure pH, conductivity, temperature, and total dissolved solids (TDS) in all aqueous solutions
Testing pH is critical for water quality in swimming pools and spas, drinking water and many industrial processes.
The phenol red test is for pH in the range of 6.8 to 8.4, the colour changing from yellow to red as alkalinity increases.
The new tablet has the same test characteristics as the conventional photometer tablet, but removes the need for crushing what can often be a hard tablet.
The tablet is simply dropped into the sample and a bursting agent reacts with water to break the tablet apart.
Once dissolved there is no turbidity to the sample, which would block the light for photometer analysis and lead to inaccurate results.
The tablets are individually foil wrapped for optimum storage and convenience.
Phenol Red Rapid tablets are also available for visual comparator testing.
