The Schuett Phoenix gas safety burner lives up to the latest safety standards and provides various advantages for comfortable and safe operation.
A conventional Bunsen burner with its permanent flame should not be found inside any laminar flow safety cabinet.
As a heat source the flame disturbs the very principle of the cabinet, ie, the laminar flow.
It can not be sterilised effectively.
It could certainly be a hazard for the Hepa filter of your cabinet.
It is a fire hazard, if you forget to switch it off.
When in use, the Schuett Phoenix gas safety burner does not tip over as easily as a Bunsen burner due to its low, rectangular design.
Schuett Phoenix gas safety burners have three operating modes (depending on model):.
Sensor operation: sensitivity of IR sensor set by user with digitally adjustable sensor distance and pre-set time (one second to 99 minutes) after which the flame switches off.
Foot-switch mode 1: gas supply and electronic ignition are activated automatically by foot-switch.
Gas supply cut off and flame stops when foot-switch is released.
Foot-switch mode 2: flame comes on when foot-switch is clicked once and stops when pressed again or the pre-set time has elapsed.
