High responsivity colour linescan camera

A Firstsight Vision product story

Latest colour linescan camera delivers significantly more sensitivity than previous models, outperforming competitive tri-linear and three-chip products

The CL-T7 is Dalsa's latest colour linescan camera delivering significantly more sensitivity than previous models.

Using Tri-TDI (time domain integration) technology its sensitivity out-performs competitive tri-linear and three-chip products by a factor of at least twenty times, with better signal to noise ratio.

The CL-T7 replaces the existing CL-T5 using a more advanced and more robust Tri-TDI sensor as compared the originals TDI works by combining multiple linescan stages to integrate over a longer period.

The CL-T7 delivers 24 bit RGB pixels at 25MHz which in real terms mean a maximum line rate of 10.7KHz.

Using TDI technology in colour applications enables a hardware solution to the traditional problem of low CCD sensitivity to blue light.

The camera has more blue TDI stages which boosts the blue, thus removing the need to increase blue gain.

White balance is done by both TDI stage selection, along with separate R, G, and B gain controls.

Markets that will find the CL-T7 most applicable would include 100% print inspection (and colour document scanning), ceramic tile inspection, and printed circuit board inspection.
