Automated inspection unit offers entry
level gains

Firstsight Vision has announced the availability of a new entry level VA15 automated inspection device from ipd

The latest in the VA series of vision appliances, the VA15 is a 'smart' camera with a difference, having all the processing power in a rugged, DIN mountable enclosure, instead of the camera head Equipped with a 640 x 480 CCD sensor, the VA 15 combines performance, ease of use and flexible integration capabilities with highly competitive pricing for a wide range of machine vision applications for end users and machine vision integrators alike

The VA15 can be accessed and setup using a web browser through a standard Gigabit Ethernet link to a laptop or PC on a local network.

Once configured, the unit runs independently and inspections can be monitored remotely from any computer with access privileges, thus providing 'connect and go' capability.

With all the processing capabilities positioned in a chassis alongside other automation controllers, the small format camera can be fitted into small spaces for added versatility.

The unit is fully equipped with industrial grade inputs and outputs.

A visible LED light is coupled to each connection which reflects the active state of the signal.

The I/O, together with all external interfaces, is conveniently accessible on the front of the unit facing the user.

The VA15 is supplied with the iNspect application software preinstalled on the device.

The software is well equipped and suitable for a range of quality control applications, including assembly verification, part identification, measurements, flaw detection and object location.

Each of the inspection tools have been carefully designed to extract the relevant information from the object image.

No programming or extensive training is required. Request a free brochure from Firstsight Vision ...
