Seminar to address maritime regulation
changes
Two day seminar in Warrington in June considers implications of changes to international law of the sea as they affect the chemical and other industries
Changes to the UK maritime transport regulations will be the focus of the 19th Pira annual update dangerous goods seminar, which takes place on Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 June 2003 in Warrington, UK In 2004, the IMDG code becomes mandatory in the international law of the sea, and while the effect on the chemical and other industries is likely to be small, certain changes will be felt - notably Competent Authority Approvals may be the subject of different procedures
