Manage the entire gene expression process
With microarray labs generating more than one million primary data points daily, this gene expression data management software could speed up actual gene and drug discovery
In addition, PerkinElmer OneSource technicians will be stationed on-site and available as needed to sustain PGRD's ongoing laboratory instrument operations.
The Nerviano site is one of PGRD's main research facilities.
Of its roughly 1000 employees, more than 700 are primarily devoted to oncology drug discovery, pre-clinical and medical development and regulatory projects.
"Our recently-expanded agreement with PGRD reflects the growing need for service partnerships that extend beyond essential maintenance and repair of individual instruments," said Peter Coggins, president, PerkinElmer Life and Analytical Sciences.
"OneSource simplifies management of today's complex systems, which require broad technical competencies, complicated protocols and procedures challenging validation and qualification.
Many of our largest customers are being challenged to improve productivity and comply with a host of regulations across multiple sites and functions.
OneSource reduces this burden and helps labs maximise the potential of key assets by predictably maintaining instrument operations and improving the productivity of their staffs." OneSource was recently launched specifically to help customers reduce the complexity of installing instruments, qualifying operators, and documenting laboratory processes.
By partnering with PerkinElmer OneSource, customers can take advantage of a wide range of service offerings, from on-demand repairs to validation certification to education and training.
