PerkinElmer buys LabMetrix Technologies
PerkinElmer has announced the acquisition of LabMetrix Technologies, the largest independent provider of metrology-based multi-vendor analytical instrument qualification
The acquisition of LabMetrix adds technology, tools, proven processes and compliance expertise to PerkinElmer's growing suite of OneSource laboratory services, strengthening its support of customers in a wide range of industries including pharmaceutical, medical device, food, toy and other consumer goods, says the company "This acquisition expands our support of customers in regulated markets by combining metrology-based multi-vendor qualification solutions with PerkinElmer's existing services capabilities," said Robert Friel, president and chief executive officer, PerkinElmer

LabMetrix generated revenues of approximately US$5 million in 2007.
