With the launch of the Cubix Walk-Up, leading X-ray analysis company Panalytical says it has become the first to bring 'walk-up' functionality to X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD) users

With a simplified interface for anytime access, the Cubix Walk-Up system enables users to perform fully automated XRPD measurement, analysis and reporting in a multi-disciplinary environment Efficiency is significantly increased, it says

The Cubix Walk-Up enables both scientists and technicians with no XRPD specialist knowledge to easily perform an analysis.

Once an analysis protocol has been set up, routine use is straightforward delivering full-function, high speed, high-resolution XRPD analysis in an easy-to-use instrument.

It is the ideal system to add extra routine XRPD capacity or extend the technique into new industry applications in development, production or quality control.

Key Cubix Walk-Up features include: straightforward sample handling with the sample changer located outside the radiation enclosure; an easy-to-use, secure multi-user interface with log in, and fully automated measurement and analysis accommodating virtually any standard operating procedure.

Importantly, the system meets protocols for validation of analytical instruments and can be configured to support the FDA 21 CFR Part 11 regulations in the pharmaceutical industry.

It offers the possibility of working in conjunction with many established Lims systems.
